This is a book about unconditional love. It is meant to be read to a child by their parent or guardian.
I love you when the sun comes up,
And when it comes back down.
I love you when you play and sing,
And when you jump around.
I love you when you tell great tales,
And when you put on shows,
I love you when you laugh real hard,
And when you touch your toes,
I love you when you dance to songs,
That only you can hear,
I love you when you scrape your knee,
And when you shed a tear.
I love you when you stomp your foot,
And when you say, “yes please”.
I love you when you count to ten,
And sing your ABC’s.
I love you when you make mistakes,
And when you’re just plain naughty.
I love you when you clear your place,
And when you flush the potty.
I love you when you help a friend,
And when you share your toys.
I love you with a great big smile,
And when you get annoyed.
I love you when I’m off at work,
And when you’re off at school.
I love you when you work real hard,
And when you break the rules.
I love you when I’m happy,
And also when I’m mad.
Though I might lose my temper,
It doesn’t mean you’re bad.
I love that you are learning,
And that I’m still learning too.
If there’s one thing you should know,
It’s that I’m always proud of you.
I love you more and more each day,
And I hope that you can see,
That in everything you do and say,
You are absolutely precious to me.
